11th HOUR MINISTRY

The 11TH HOUR MINISTRY is designed to help individuals and families who are experiencing end of life situations.  The team is being formed and educated to support church members and the community as they deal with the transition of loved ones.

The team is being educated through the African American Church Empowerment Project of Angela Hospice of Livonia, MI.  Our Angela Hospice support lead is Rev. Diane Smith.  The teaching sessions include the following information:

  • General Hospice Education
  • Barriers/Predispositions and attitudes concerning end-of-life issues
  • Advance Directives
  • Common Human Experience discussions
  • Dialogue about the topic amongst the church community
  • Navigating grief & loss
  • Stages of death & the role of hospice
